![]() No one is looking forward to this release as much as ourselves, and we trust we’ll be in a position to provide a specific date for release early in 2021. Please help us by thoroughly testing aspects like compile and reporting issues so we can resolve any remaining bugs to our exacting standards before release. The expiry date for the current beta is 31st December 2020, but as we’ve been doing throughout, a new and improved beta will be released before the current beta expires. You can also Copy formatting and paste formatting if you have a specific format you want your text in for only a few chapters. That’s a free upgrade window that now runs for over 3 years! As always, our beta is available for testing from our forum webpage here. Scrivener changes its formatting in 3.0, but if you don’t want to spend time customizing your formatting, once you import one of your old Scrivener projects, it will allow you to copy the formatting and set as default. Remember, we'll still be honouring a free upgrade route for all those users that have purchased a licence for Scrivener 1.x on Windows on or after 20th November 2017. They’ve indicated that a few outstanding bugs remain, so they’ll be coding through the Christmas period so we do not drift too far into 2021 without releasing Scrivener 3.0 for Windows. The current situation is that we’re waiting on a release candidate from our developers to begin testing tomorrow. In the scheme of things, an update to a piece of software that is already available and functional in an earlier iteration is certainly not a grave situation, but we’re sorry that we’re passing yet another date we touted as being a goal for release. As if this year hasn’t provided enough bad news already, our Windows development team requires a bit more time. :) I'll keep your suggestions in mind just in case there's any lingering issues. After a fairly horrendous year globally, we were really hopeful we’d be offering a shot in the arm for our Windows users before 2020 was out with the release of Scrivener 3. I double clicked the Section Layouts and then hit 'Text and notes use editor formatting.'īasically posting all this in case it helps someone else. I did have a issue where it wouldn't carry over my formatting like the space between paragraphs. The TOC is just fine now (but wasn't before). So I'm able to get something like this now. The overview has the same toggles for Chapter 1 and the rest. It's toggled in the compile but I don't know why it's doing this.Īll I want is to show Chapter 1, have a link, and have a break between that and the previous 'stuff' in my front matter. As I'm blindly picked other options sometimes it'll show but just not formatted well, or I'll see something like Chapter 1 - Chapter one in the TOC. Scrivener 3.0 - Finally I remember back in 2017 when I discovered Literature and Latte. There's just no reference in the TOC and there's no break like the other 24 chapters. I had about 10 issues and this is the final one I can't fix.Īll I want is for Chapter One to be in the TOC.
